Working towards national priorities

Every country has its own economic, environmental and institutional requirements. Successful programmes reflect local waste streams, available resources, infrastructure, workforce capabilities and national policy objectives.

Philip supports an evidence-led approach that begins with technical assessment and feasibility before moving to investment and implementation — developed transparently and in line with public-sector procedures and regulation.

Circular industry in Eswatini

Status: Proposal · Expression of interest

Through Mica Environmental and Mica Industrial, Philip has been involved in preparing a proposal for a national recycling, resource-recovery, circular-manufacturing and technical-skills development programme in the Kingdom of Eswatini.

The proposed model would begin with a structured assessment of waste volumes, material composition, collection systems and commercial demand. Potential later stages include material-recovery facilities, recycling infrastructure and selected domestic manufacturing using suitable recovered feedstock.

An important part of the proposal is the development of technical employment, apprenticeships and knowledge transfer.

Working with NGOs & development organisations

NGOs bring expertise in community participation, environmental awareness, inclusion, skills development and monitoring social outcomes — combined with private-sector delivery capability.

Long-term partnerships

Sustainable projects need more than equipment or initial capital. They depend on long-term management, maintenance, local skills, commercial demand and accountable operations.
